Valérie began her career as a researcher in hematology and virology at the Institut National de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM). After collaborating on a Franco-American HIV research program at UC Davis, she joined Transgene SA, a subsidiary of Institut Mérieux specialized in gene therapy and immunotherapy. She then led a spin-off project in the cardiovascular therapeutic field before collaborating with a Paris-based seed venture capital firm. Valerie has also managed several clinical stage biotech product developments in the fields of infectious diseases and oncology, from pre-IND to Phase 2.
Valérie joined Mérieux Développement as an Associate in January 2010 and has focused on the analysis of joint venture files and investments, accompanying more than 8 companies since 2010. She also actively participated in the structuring and launch of M2care.
Valérie obtained her PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Marseille. She holds a degree in hematology and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry-immunology from the University of Marseille.
