Maculaser is a Finnish medtech startup originating from over 10 years of research at Aalto University, specializing in the development of innovative laser therapies for the treatment of retinal diseases. Maculaser has developed a temperature-controlled laser therapy solution designed to precisely and safely treat macular diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This technology enables the delivery of controlled retinal laser treatment, limiting the risk of thermal damage and paving the way for safer and more reproducible patient care.
M2care is investing both financially and operationally alongside Zeiss Ventures as part of a funding round aimed at accelerating the company’s growth. This investment is intended to support Maculaser in executing its clinical development plan, preparing its regulatory strategy, and advancing the commercial planning of its retinal laser therapy.
