Philippe is Executive Vice President, Technological Innovation and Scientific Partnerships at Institut Mérieux since 2021.He was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Transgene from 2010 to 2020 and Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2020. Prior to joining Transgene, Philippe Archinard was Chief Executive Officer of Innogenetics since 2000. From 1985 to 2000, he held various positions at bioMérieux, including Managing Director of bioMérieux, Inc. in the United States. He is a chemical engineer and holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Lyon, France, and completed a management program at the Harvard Business School. He is President of the Institut des Recherches Technologiques (IRT) BIOASTER.
